To schedule a presentation for your organization or agency, or to request the Council’s participation in a community event, please call the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling at (702) 369-9740 and ask for our Program Coordinator.
National Problem Gambling Awareness Month
March is National Problem Gambling Awareness Month and communities nationwide work to raise awareness of the consequences of problem gambling and the resources available for help. This initiative is also a celebration of the men and women who are overcoming problems associated with their gambling behavior.
Each year the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling disseminates information to healthcare providers and community agencies throughout the state, encouraging them to become partners in this grassroots public awareness campaign.
Organizations interested in supporting the initiative can also visit the National Problem Gambling Awareness Month website at www.npgam.org to find educational materials and other useful tools related to the prevention and treatment of problem gambling.
